To help me with this topic, I invited Mark Franklin, who comes from a magical world of stories and children’s books, and is more than qualified to navigate us through how to tackle course-correcting some of the stories we have swirling around us in our heads and in our businesses.

  • How Mark came to realise that the stories we tell ourselves or that we have around our lives, are really why we get out of bed in the mornings.
  • When you reflect on your past, or how you came to be where you are today – you may just find the nuggets of insight that have helped to mould your values and beliefs today.
  • How telling stories is the way to allow people to really get to know you as a person and someone they might want to work with
  • Having the opportunity to choose the stories you t=do tell and decide which ones are only for you.
  • How personal branding is a way to draw out the stories and narrative that can help you be MORE you, more of the time.

Also, hear how Mark has realised since coming out of his corporate role that perhaps he held back too much of himself in his communication with the world outside of his main “job”. He did realise that he was looking at 5pm as the line when he got to switch off as work Mark and then become home Mark.

Mark Franklin, Brand StrategistMark Franklin is a mindset expert and business strategist who helps business owners and leaders flow from inertia to victory by embracing their fears.

He hails from 20+ years in leading the social selling division of an award-winning children’s publishers in the UK and Europe.

After years of working with thousands of independent solo-preneurs, he is uniquely talented in supporting people to distil their ‘WHY’, articulate their ideal future and help them tell more meaningful stories.

Today he runs his own coaching, training and consultancy business, and I am very lucky to call him a friend and a colleague, as we also work together on brand strategy and podcast branding in our agency business Harbour 32.

Mark has two grown-up daughters, is husband to Hanna, Dog dad to a fluffy dog called Fawn, and is a drummer in at least 5 local bands in his hometown of Witney in Oxfordshire.
