[PODCAST] EP042 – Shelley Rostlund, Brand Strategist

Your Personal Brand Stories Are Sunflowers, Give Them Sunshine

May 10, 2024 | Experience

Your story, in your voice

I know your time is valuable. These show notes give you the gist of the episode, what is covered, any links or resources talked about in the show, and also gives you a few ways to listen, watch or digest this episode.

This episode’s topic, in a nutshell…

I feel like the universe is speaking to me. My last few solo episodes have really been all about the same thing, but colouring it in, from different angles so you really get a flavour for the depth and beauty of personal brand work.

If you haven’t listened to episode 39 (on the unique points of human difference) and episode 41 (on human diversity) – please do once you have listened to this one.

In this episode I bring things down a notch and share a recent experience with you of how I learnt the real truth about why you share your stories and I felt it on a really emotional level.

Highlights

In this episode I:

  • Set the scene for the event that I spoke on stage for and why I was asked to come and share my story with the audience
  • Share why I need to be selective about where I spend my in-person time (to protect my own energy and wellbeing)
  • Some of the personal stories that I did share on stage (so you know the amount of ‘digging deep’ for bravery to stand on stage was for me)
  • How my two brains (which I have spoken about before in previous episodes) came smack bang together
  • The hours after coming off stage – which has most probably completely changed me for life

By listening to this episode, I’m hoping that you’ll really “get” that everyone is different so, naturally, everyone’s personal brand is going to be different and beautifully unique to them. No cookie cutters allowed in this work.

If what I’ve shared in this episode caught your attention and you want to delve more into shaping your personal brand into something that feels good for you and really connects you with the kinds of people you are yearning to work with, give me a shout.
